





95% of adults with learning disabilities in the UK are unemployed due to widespread misconceptions.
My ‘See the Ability’ project tackled this problem by targeting the employers and businesses. As an extension of that project I wanted to create a solution that involved people with learning disabilities as the target audience.
I created the branding for a fictional coffee shop called 'Even Odds Cafe.' The name of the cafe is based on the fact that the odds are stacked against people with learning disabilities.
By training them and providing them with sustainable employment, the coffee shop is thus helping to 'even out the odds.'
The word mark, logo mark, graphic pattern and holding device have all been crafted to represent these 'stacked odds.'
