Simultaneously new and nostalgic, our 2025 Colour Palette of the Year consists of cosy, comforting colours with a contemporary twist. These are the colours that you grew up with, reimagined.
Defined as ‘a sentimental yearning for the past’, at its core, nostalgia is a feeling of cosiness.
In the same way that nostalgia bring us comfort, so do the colours in our 2025 palette. Amongst the colours in our palette are earthy brown, burnt orange, brownish red and plum purple - colours that decorators have historically been afraid to use, or have associated with being “dated”; but now, these colours have seen a revival.
As we look ahead to 2025, we predict that decorators will be drawing inspiration from the past by incorporating these nostalgic colours into their homes, but styling them in new and contemporary ways; think colour drenching and experimenting with playful colour combinations, to create spaces that feel simultaneously nostalgic and new.
This new wave of nostalgia is all about fostering emotional connections through design, and our 2025 palette will do just that.

I had pleasure of being involved in this project from the initial creative concepts straight to the multi channel launch of the campaign.
As the junior designer, working alongside the Design Lead, I had the opportunity to art direct and storyboard the hero video that was created for the launch of the palette.
I also helped to create various printed collateral for the press launch event of the palette which included a press gift box with a designed sleeve, menu cards, colour palette narrative informational cards
